In short: we collect what you submit through our contact form, basic analytics about how people use this site, and nothing more than that. We don't sell your data. This page explains exactly what happens to it and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR.
DryTrix is operated by an individual based in Belgium, not a registered company - there's no separate legal entity, VAT number, or registered business address behind it. This policy covers the https://drytrix.com/ website you're currently on, including its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages.
It does not cover the products we build - TimeTracker, Seam(De)Stress, PatternSoft, and CatMap each run on their own domain, are self-hosted or installed independently, and have their own privacy practices (most process no personal data on our servers at all, since they're self-hosted by the people who run them). Check each product's own site for details specific to it.
For anything on this page, contact us at info@drytrix.com.
When you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you enter. Submitting the form also logs your IP address and browser user-agent string alongside that submission, for spam prevention and troubleshooting.
Like most websites, our analytics tools (below) automatically collect standard technical data when you visit: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location (country/city level, derived from IP), device and browser type, and time spent on the page. We don't collect precise location, and we don't run any tracking beyond what's described in this policy.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form submission | Responding to your enquiry | Your consent, given by submitting the form |
| IP / user-agent on form submission | Spam and abuse prevention | Our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable |
| Analytics (Google Analytics, Plausible) | Understanding site usage to improve it | Consent (Google Analytics) / legitimate interest (Plausible, which is cookieless) |
| reCAPTCHA token | Preventing automated form spam | Our legitimate interest, and Google's own terms |
This site loads the following third-party services. Each may process technical data (typically your IP address and browser information) under its own privacy policy, independent of us:
We don't control what these services do with technical data beyond what's described in their own policies, and we don't share your contact form content (name, email, message) with any of them - only the analytics and reCAPTCHA scripts run automatically; your form content goes only to our own inbox.
We use your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) to remember your light/dark theme preference. This never leaves your browser and isn't accessible to us.
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors across sessions. Plausible Analytics is cookieless by design. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies as part of its bot-detection process.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so won't affect your ability to use this site, though it may affect analytics accuracy.
Contact form submissions and their associated log entries (name, email, subject, message, IP, user-agent, timestamp) are kept on our server for 12 months from submission, after which they're deleted. Email correspondence that results from your enquiry is retained according to normal business record-keeping practice.
Analytics data is retained according to each provider's own default retention settings (Google Analytics and Plausible), which we haven't customized beyond their standard defaults.
This site is served over HTTPS. Server-side log files containing contact form data are not publicly accessible - they're blocked at the web server level and excluded from search indexing. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA are operated by Google, which may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google provides Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards for these transfers as part of its own compliance program. Plausible Analytics and our email provider (Combell) are EU-based.
If you're in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@drytrix.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We haven't appointed a Data Protection Officer. Under GDPR Article 37, a DPO is required for public authorities or for large-scale/systematic monitoring or special-category data processing - none of which describes what this site does (a contact form and standard analytics), so the general contact above is the right point of contact for any privacy matter.
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy as our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage checking back periodically.
